I finally ported Blobby Tennis to macOS, making it one of the first SteamVR games for macOS!
It requires a Vive and SteamVR and either a strong dedicated or an external GPU. Air piano mac os. My MacBooks AMD Pro 460 is the minimum it requires to keep consistent 90fps.
I had do make some tradeoffs for performance compared to the windows version:
- 4x MSAA instead of 8x MSAA
- No preview window (the window compositor took randomly too much time every couple of frames)
The performance on windows should also have improved a bit due to more optimizations. Also the SteamVR supersampling setting can now be adjusted with realtime feedback, without requiring a restart of the game.
Let me know if you encounter any issues!

Thanks for making the first Mac VR game that I could test and play my HTC Vive on with my MBP2017. It used to play great, but sad panda it no longer renders to the HTC Vive HMD - still plays the groovy beach music. Is this a known issue? SteamVR setup grid world world so I know the HMD and cables are good. Thanks!
For the moment I'd recommend you to install it from Steam. Apple changed their API and while I recently fixed the Steam Version, I didn't update the one here and I made a lot of changes to my engine since then..
The Ball (itch) (sanamac) Mac Os Version
I'll try to get it updated, but it may take a while.
I did install the Steam supplied Blobby Tennis.
The SteamVR version is NOT working.
I had no way to contact you other than follow a bread trail that lead me here.
Thanks for the reply.
Thanks, I'll take a look when I can and hopefully get it fixed. Might take a while though, not sure yet.
Are you using the latest version of macOS?
2017 Mac Book Pro running up to date on all OS updates for Mojave.
Pong Breaker is a game combining the game Pong and the game Breakout. The game can be played both alone or with another player in local co-op. Your goal in the game is to destroy all of the enemy's bricks by launching the ball at them while defending your own bricks. The game's buff system will spawns buffs with different effects, the buffs will activate if touched by the ball and depending on their type will change the size of different object and spawn new balls.
You can play Pong Breaker in the browser or download it for windows from the download link below.
